Shnita Wiley was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She was raised in the small town of Aliceville, Alabama. At the age of 12 she moved to Tuscaloosa, Alabama. As a child, Shnita knew that she wanted to work in healthcare. In 1999, Shnita began to climb the clinical ladder in healthcare. From 1999-2003, she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Working as nursing assistant, Shnita learned 101 of being a good nurse. Shnita’s way of taking care of patients was, she would look at each patient that she cared for as if they were a family member. She learned how to give bed baths, make an occupied bed, transferring patients and most importantly good bedside manners. In 2003-2016 Shnita worked as an LPN, this area taught her how to administer medications, start IV’s, and wound care along with assisting with transfers, feeding and good customer service. In 2016-2017 received her ADN and became a RN. Shnita then, learned how to administer blood, work with critical burn patients, learn about trach. In 2017-2018 she earned her BSN in nursing. Worked in leadership roles. In 2018-2020, Shnita worked as a charge nurse and pursued her career as a Nurse Practitioner. October 6, 2020, Shnita earned her Master of Nursing with a Concentration in Family Nurse Practitioner.
